Monument 360 time-lapse at Weymouth

On Aug 10th and 11th,  I participated in “Welcome to the Treasuredome”,  showing a 16 minute time-lapse of the City of London recorded over seven days from the top of the Monument. The work was specially edited by Stuart Moore of Sundog Media with a music track by Chris Bush and shown in the ICCI (Innovation for Creative and Cultural Industries) 360 dome as part of the Cultural Olympiad in Weymouth, Dorset.

360 degree projection of Monument Time-Lapse

On Thursday I spent an interesting day working with artist and film maker Stuart Moore of Sundog Media in Plymouth, who with Kayla Parker has developed an exciting project to produce a series of 360 degree panoramic projections (Welcome to the Treasuredome) for the ICCI (Innovation for the Creative and Cultural Industries) which will be screened during Aug 2012 in a specially constructed dome structure incorporating 5 data projectors and surround sound as part of the Cultural Olympiad. We have been working with a 15 minute HD time-lapse sequence that was recorded during The Monument Project (2009-2011), and will include a specially commissioned music track by composer Chris Bush.

Moving my Studio

Rocinante arrives at Cuckoo Farm Studios laden with stuff

I am in the process of retiring from teaching and as part of this I have begun moving studios from my research unit (EDAU) at Uclan in Preston to Cuckoo Farm Studios in Colchester, Essex. As this is going to have to be a gradual process, I made the first trip yesterday, taking the first load to its new home.
