ENAS Presents… is a new series of touring talks by artists based in studios across Essex, designed to bring their work out of the studio to new audiences, and enable artists to come together to share ideas about practice. The third in our series of talks features Chris Meigh-Andrews, an artist based at Cuckoo Farm Studios in Colchester who will be speaking at TAP in Southend.

Tests for “In Darwin’s Garden” Installation at Benham Gallery, July 2014
An image of the test structure for the gallery version of In Darwin’s Garden, an augmented reality installation I have been developing in collaboration with Dr Alan Summers. Gallery visitors will be able to experience a composite view of time lapse video and photographic images of the venerable mulberry tree at Down House, the home of Charles Darwin and his family. The tree, which was already of considerable age when the Darwins were in residence, is in its final stages, although currently still alive. This work, which has an on-line version at http://www.darwinsgarden.org.uk, is due to be presented at ISEA (International Symposium of Electronic Art) in Dubai, Oct-Nov 2014.
