In Novi Sad, Serbia

Interior view of Fabrika

On Aug 6th I flew to Belgrade to meet up with six of the artists involved in the “Re: Location” exchange project and we travelled together to Novi Sad, about 80 Kms to the NW of  Belgrade, where the exhibition will take place. This exchange, which has been organised by Mike Walton, also involves UK-based artists Jonathan Moss, Lawrence Cassidy, Linda Wooding, Mary Fitzpatrick, Mat Birchall, Pete Clarke, Peter Daviz, Tao Lashley-Burnley and Victoria Lucas.

The exhibition, scheduled to open Friday, Aug 16th at the SKCNS (Studentski Kulturni Centar Novi Sad) Fabrika Gallery, is located close to the banks of the River Dunav (the local name for the river Danube) and a short walk from the city centre.

I am planning to show two new small-scale installations in the exhibition, both of which feature imagery recorded whilst I was in Japan- Autumn Moon and Mount Fuji @ 240 KPH.
